Relevant speaks on his refusal to conform to mainstream trends just to be relevant, complete with a funny little mockery of the popular flow right now. Keep On Going focuses on how he wants to build his label and the difficulties he’s faced doing it-while speeding up even more somehow. That said, the other topics do deserve a shout-out, because Twisted Insane covers them well. The other topics covered on the album are refreshing,īut there’s too much horrorcore for them to balance out. The title track and Flame Broil stand out because they showcase his double-time flow best,īut the rest just blend together. It doesn’t make me bored, but it’s a lot of similar content about how much Horrorcore tone feels like it’s beaten to death within the first third of theĪlbum. Was pleasantly surprised to find out it didn’t just sound like a scary movie playlist. That said, this is the first time I’d listened to a full project of his, and I He’s one of theīest double-timers out there, and his horrorcore stuff is genuinely chilling. Rap was horrorcore, so I’d heard of Twisted Insane early on.
